Lawrence Braverman Associates, LLC

Marie Lawrence and Jan Braverman began work in government software development in 1978. 

After working on many government computer projects as staff members of the 

Institute for Governmental Services at the University of Massachusetts,

  they founded Computer Productivity Associates in 1983 and wrote all of the software

marketed and supported by CPA.   

After merging with another software firm in 1998, 

Marie and Jan continued to operate CPA as a separate company division until February of 2001.

LBA was then founded by Marie and Jan and 

developed Visual FoxPro for Windows software products 

based upon the time-tested principles 

established in their previous software products.
